Where are you going… and how will you get there?
We’ll help you find out.
We’ll help you find out.
We believe people and organizations can flourish together, and that by creating inspiring visions, people transform the boundaries of what they believe is possible.
Helping people envision and create new possibilities, working towards their highest potential, is our driving force. That’s why we do the work we do.
Our goal is to help you create the organization of YOUR dreams.
Many organizations are adapting to a changing world, a changing economy, and a changing customer base. Sometimes, that adaptation means shifting one’s goals, identity, and vision of the future. We’ll help you figure out where you want to go – and how to get there.
That covers a whole range of things – creating shared, compelling visions; developing vision, mission, and values statements; strategic planning based on the most inspiring goals; and dealing with the resistance to change that sometimes comes with trying to move forward into a new future.
People have different reactions to change – some may be excited, others nervous. We help everyone talk to each other, get on the same page, understand each others’ perspectives, and direct everyone’s energy in the same direction – towards a shared vision of the future.
In addition to full cycle consulting, we also offer workshops on topics related to strategic direction, including: goal-setting/visioning; building from your strengths; effective meeting practices; building trust in your team; managing transitions; and making decisions as a group. Start with creating a shared vision: Where do you want to go?
Data collection & organizational analysis: Where are you now?
Strategic design: How will you get from here to there?
Managing change & transitions: How will you put it all into practice?
Our values and the collaborative partnerships we build set DGOC apart from other business & management consulting firms. At DGOC, our approach is built on the values of collaboration, participation & inclusion, growth & exploration, and integrity. Each of these values form core principles for the way we work, and empower our clients to transform the boundaries of what they believe is possible.
DGOC builds collaborative relationships, based on the assumption that you know your organization best. We bring the tools, expertise, and external perspective to help you figure out what’s happening now, where you want to go, and what needs to change to get there. You bring expertise about your people and organization and a commitment to your organization’s future. Together, we discover new perspectives and build a partnership in which you learn the skills to facilitate successful change in your organization – now, and for years to come.
Involving people in the decisions which affect them builds trust and engagement, and diminishes resistance to change. The people affected by decisions often have valuable information to share – if they’re given the chance. When you ask for and consider your employees’ ideas, you’ll learn from their insight and experience, and they’ll know you hear and value each of their voices - even if you go in a different direction.
By using an approach in which our work together is an opportunity for learning and exploration, we open our perspectives to see new possibilities for what you and your organization can achieve. Each engagement is an opportunity for growth, personally and professionally.
We build client relationships based on trust, openness, and transparent communication. We know your organization matters to you, and we’ll treat your people and your business with care and respect.
I’m Diana Goldberg, the founder and principal consultant of DG Organizational Consulting. I facilitate transformational change by collaboratively working with clients to determine and address their needs. I help clients answer the questions: "where are you going... and how will you get there?" My passion is to help people and organizations determine and pursue their goals, and by doing so empower people to reach their greatest potential.
I support teams and organizations in achieving their goals together through building partnerships based on genuine connections, combined with expertise in strategic direction, leadership & team development, organizational culture, and change management. Goals I've helped clients achieve take many forms: from creating effective processes for a clean-energy financing startup, to developing a framework for measuring hard-to-quantify progress at a growing non-profit, to bridging a generational divide in a 100-year-old institution in the midst of an identity shift, to designing and facilitating a leadership development program to support a cultural transformation at an international manufacturing company.
I work with clients to increase organizational effectiveness through a multi-disciplinary approach drawing from social and behavioral sciences, business management, economics, sociology and anthropology, neuroscience, change management, and more. The values underpinning my work form the foundation of my consulting practice: collaboration, participation & inclusion, exploration & growth, and integrity.
In addition to my consulting work, I am involved in various volunteer and pro bono projects. As a past president of the Organization Development Network of Chicago (ODNC), I guided ODNC through a full strategic planning process, revitalizing our membership and building a strong, cohesive and diverse Board of Directors. I am also a member of the Community Advisory Council of the Chicago Children's Advocacy Center, a non-profit which brings together public, private, and community partners to reduce the trauma of abused children.
